There Are No Diamonds In The Mine

I count myself fortunate that I’ve never had to work in a mine, and for that (and for all the people, moms, dads, and kids in the world, who do (or are forced to) work in dangerous, or lethal situations) I’ll honour father’s day. I also observe father’s day in the name of one of our local bright lights who recently lost his battle with cancer, and for the loss experienced by his family. My heart goes out to you.

I’m flattered about all the well-wishing I’ve received today, and feel very lucky to have a four year old girl in my life who challenges and ridicules me all the time. For her I observe father’s day, too (it is also her birthday), as she is the best gift ever.
